Groundworker/Finishing

About The RoleWe’re looking for experienced Groundworkers to join our groundworks and concrete structures team to carry out finishing work. You’ll work closely with site engineers, supervisors, and concrete gangs to maintain quality, accuracy, and safety across all operations.Key ResponsibilitiesWork with the Machine Driver and Banksman to ensure safe lifting and handling of the equipmentMaintain safe working distances and exclusion zones during operationsKirbs, slabs & edgingsIdentify and report any defects, irregularities, or obstructions (e.g., high reinforcement, debris, incorrect pile spacing)Carry out pre-start and post-operation equipment checks, reporting any faults immediatelyAdhere to all company and site-specific Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality proceduresAssist with other groundwork or concrete activities as required (when pile breaking operations are complete or paused)Essential RequirementsProven finishing experience in a civils or groundworks environmentValid CPCS or NPORS card - Excavator Operator, Lifting Ops, or relatedKnowledge of safe working practices when operating around reinforced concrete piles and live site areasUnderstanding of reading drawings and pile schedulesStrong awareness of Health & Safety, particularly regarding vibration, noise, dust, and exclusion zonesAbility to work efficiently within a team and follow instructions from site supervisionDesirableSSSTS or equivalent supervisor qualificationAdditional plant tickets (Telehandler, Dumper, Roller, etc.)Experience working on large RC frame or infrastructure projectsManual handling, confined space, or lifting-related trainingPersonal AttributesReliable, punctual, and safety-consciousPositive attitude and teamwork mindsetGood communication skills with site engineers and foremenAble to work to high standards with attention to detailWhat We OfferCompetitive rates of payLong-term, steady work on major projectsOpportunities for upskilling and further trainingA strong focus on safety, quality, and team supportApply NowIf you’re an experienced Groundworker looking to join a professional, well-established construction team, we want to hear from you.Be part of a company that values skill, safety, and reliability — and build your future with us.
