The purpose of a Supply Chain Assistant is to expedite orders placed with integrity to ensure smooth co-ordination of inventory, working with suppliers and internal teams to track orders, resolve delays and maintain schedules to meet customer and production demands.The primary function of the Supply Chain Assistant is to ensure all procured goods fall in line with customer demand to meet the production schedule. The candidate must possess substantial communication skills and strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong working relationships. They should have the ability to solve problems with potential bottlenecks, conflicts or delays. · Scheduling & expediting purchase orders across all categories· Support the Procurement team in planning and coordinating the movement of goods and materials.· Support coordination of material and product flow from suppliers to warehouse.· Monitor purchase orders and expedite deliveries to ensure materials arrive according to schedule.· Communicate regularly with suppliers, logistics partners, and internal departments to follow up on order status and resolve delays.· Coordinate transportation, warehousing, and delivery schedules to meet operational needs.· Identify and escalate potential supply chain issues, recommending corrective actions.· Track shipments and communicate with freight forwarders.· Provide support with demand forecasting and supply planning based on production or sales needs.· Provide support with monitoring inventory levels and assist with stock reconciliation and replenishment.· Ensure timely resolution of delivery or inventory discrepancies.· Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supply chain processes.· Collaborate with procurement and warehouse· Contribute to process improvements to reduce lead times and enhance supply reliability.
