Halal Slaughter Person

The main function of the role is to slaughter animals in accordance with religious law, and determine that carcasses meet specified religious, hygiene and food safety standards.Main DutiesWhilst making cut, bless the animal by saying Bismillah (in the name of God) from the Koran. This can be done silently or said aloud.Identify overage animals and highlight to Manager/Supervisor. Maintaining high levels of humanity and always working in compliance with Animal Welfare standards. Operating within the conditions of your slaughter licence.Cleaning of work equipment after each session and undertake thorough cleaning at the end of each day.Maintaining work equipment in good working order, including keeping knives sharp.Maintaining hygienic conditions by working within FSA standards.The PersonAs it is an occupational requirement of the role, and therefore exempt from discrimination on the grounds of religion under the Equality Act 2010, we ask that all applicants are practicing Muslims.The successful candidate will need to be hard-working and conscientiousCommitted to working within the company Mission, Vision & Values.No company sponsorship is available to overseas applicants for this position.INDLP
