Financial Controller

The role:Reporting directly to the CFO, the International Financial Controller will take overall responsibility for managing the finance function and overseeing the operations of all companies within the Europe & Africa business unit. This covers eight companies across the UK and Europe.This is a visible, hands-on leadership role with responsibility for a team of eight, requiring both strong technical accounting expertise and the ability to inspire, develop and lead a high-performing finance function. The successful individual will play a key role in driving change, strengthening processes, and supporting strategic decision-making during an exciting phase of growth.Key responsibilities include:Preparing consolidated monthly, quarterly and annual management accounts within Group deadlinesDelivering financial analysis and presenting results to senior managementPreparing year-end statutory accounts and liaising with auditorsReviewing and enhancing financial processes to ensure accuracy and efficiencyLeading, developing and mentoring the finance team across the UK and overseasSupporting the implementation of a new Group-wide ERP system (D365)Preparing annual budgets, long-term financial plans and forecastsManaging working capital, cash flow reporting and treasury activityEnsuring compliance with Group policies, regulatory requirements and strong internal controlsWho we’re looking for:Suits a professionally qualified accountant with proven leadership experience and the ability to operate within a complex, multi-entity environment. Strong analytical skills, commercial acumen and excellent communication are essential.
