Role Description The Head Chef is a full-time, on-site role based at The Rainforest Lodge at Sleeping Giant. Responsibilities include managing the kitchen operations, creating diverse and high-quality menus, and ensuring dishes are prepared to the highest standards. The Head Chef will oversee kitchen staff, maintain inventory, ensure adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations, and contribute to the guest experience by consistently delivering exceptional cuisine. You will collaborate with management to update offerings and provide innovation in dining experiences while maintaining operational efficiency. Qualifications Extensive culinary skills, including menu creation, preparation, and platingExperience managing kitchen teams, providing training, and delegating tasks effectivelyKnowledge of food safety standards, hygiene protocols, and kitchen operations managementProficiency in inventory management, cost control, and sourcing high-quality ingredientsStrong leadership, time management, and organizational skillsCreativity and adaptability in crafting unique dishes and menusPrevious experience as a Head Chef or in a similar leadership roleCulinary certifications or relevant professional qualifications are a plusPassion for providing exceptional dining experiences in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
