Following a period of rapid acquisition and integration, the company is entering an exciting new phase of growth, with significant investment in people, systems and commercial excellence.The Head of Commercial & Sales Operations will play a pivotal role in developing sales strategies, pricing models, and go-to-market plans that enhance market share and profitability. This is a highly visible leadership role, ideal for a strategic thinker who thrives on data-driven decision-making and cross-functional collaboration.The Head of Commercial & Sales Operations will:Develop and execute commercial strategies to achieve sales, revenue, and profitability targetsDesign and optimise commercial propositions, pricing models and product offersEstablish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track sales performance and identify opportunities for improvementLead the development of analytical capabilities, leveraging data to inform strategy, forecasting, and customer insightsOptimise sales processes and workflows to enhance efficiency and productivity across channelsOversee sales compensation and incentive plans that align with business objectivesManage and enhance CRM and reporting systems (Salesforce and Power BI) to ensure data accuracy and usabilityLead and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvementThe Head of Commercial & Sales Operations will:Proven senior-level commercial leadership experience, ideally within a b2b service e.g. telco or utilities, but plenty of other examplesProven success in leading teams and delivering measurable resultsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with expertise in data analysis and reportingIdeally proficiency with CRM and data visualisation tools (e.g. Salesforce, Power BI)Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence across functionsExperience working across multiple sales channels and customer segmentsDemonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, matrixed environmentCould come from roles like Commercial Director, Head of Propositions, Head of Sales Operations, etc.This is a great opportunity for a talented Head of Commercial & Sales Operations to play a pivotal role in the commercial transformation of a well-established, financially sound organisation that’s redefining its future.The role is based in the West Midlands 2 days a week, but a lot of employees live in different parts of the UK as any travel & accommodation needed is paid for by the company.c. £100k + bonus + benefits
