We are looking for a talented Head of Construction Management to join our dedicated team at our office located in Vikhroli, Mumbai.Core Capabilities: To ensure proper and efficient discharge of the Company’s responsibilities for project construction, adherenceTo The Company’s Policies And Requirements. Ensure that work carried out by the department is professional and adequate in all respects, particularly inrelation to safety, quality assurance and adherence to Company’s contractual responsibilities and compliancewith statutory and legal requirements. To carry out work relating to construction aspects of sub-contracts, planning, estimating and safety atconstruction sites are being done as per procedure. Ensure weekly SPI (Schedule performance index) & CPI (Cost Performance Index) & project Risk for each sitemust be completed with desired Dash boards / progress reports Ensure design, constructability & construction interface is working & providing the projects with adequateinformation timely Authorize and approve all expenses as stipulated in Company directives. Ensure commercials are being monitored and under control for all projects Carryout department administration functions. Consult and liaise with the Legal Department and liaise with all other Departments on Construction relatedmatters as necessary.Safety Management Ensure safety culture on sites is positive with weekly safety meetings, communications and audits. Establish procedure and systems for effective handling and monitoring safety systems / records Ensure SLT (Safety Leadership Team) & Sponsor meetings (All stakeholders) are set up and running on allprojectsQuality Management Demonstrate by leadership and example a strong commitment to the development and implementation of ourquality management system and Core Values and to continually improve the effectiveness of constructionmanagement. Prepare and/or update Department and Company procedures, Methods, Standards, work instructions, etc.pertaining to Construction aspects of the Company’s Quality Assurance program. Ensures that all personnel are aware of the latest issue of the Department’s Work instructions, procedures,specifications and methods. Comply with the Company's Construction Procedures and Practices in all respects, particularly related toQuality Assurance, Safety, Personnel and Industrial relations; wherever these are found to be inadequate,immediately report the deficiencies and suggest solutions.Business Development Liaise with the Proposals, Project Management and Project services groups in the preparation of Constructionprograms for Proposals and Contracts and assist as required with the relevant planning inputs of the keydates, manning, sub-contractors and other prescribed parameters. Represent the Company in appropriate construction industry associations, as required. Work closely with the Sales and Operations Group and ensure that recommendations for the application ofconstruction expertise are fully considered, particularly during the early phases of proposal and contract awardResource management: Interview candidates and make recommendations for the appointment / rejection of the candidate to the HR Team. To ensure staff recruitment, development and departmental administration and line personnel management. Decide on the assignment of Site staff for services group activities including staff forward loading and recruitment. Determine staff training needs with improved staff training in view and discuss and arrange such training needs with the HR Manager. Carry out regular staff assessment and appraisal and formality record the results and give recommendations in accordance with Company policies. Review current and future staffing needs and make recommendations regarding staff recruitment. Ensure required sub-contracting to qualified and experienced Organizations Prepare Man-month chart and cost estimates for proposals and liaise with the Proposals and Estimating groups on all matters involving construction estimates for Management. Stakeholder management: Ensure that relationships with other departments within the Company and with the Client, Vendors, Sub-contractors are effective and cordial. Ensure that Company policies are properly adhered to within his area of responsibility and the changes or additions to such policies are communicated to reporting staff and are implemented.Qualifications & RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.25+ years of industry experience, including 10+ years in senior leadership roles.Proven expertise across sectors like Life Sciences, Data Centres, Chemical, F&B, FMCG, etc.Proficiency in Primavera, MS Project, and Power BI dashboard reporting cost management tools.Excellent presentation and communication skills.Key CompetenciesVisionary leadership with entrepreneurial spirit.High energy, passion for excellence, and a collaborative mindset.Innovative problem-solving approach.Strong ethical standards and respect-driven communication.Relationship builder with a drive for results.All interviews are conducted either in person or virtually, with video required.About UsIPS, a Berkshire Hathaway company, is a global leader in technical consulting, architecture, engineering, procurement, construction management, commissioning, qualification, and validation services for technically complex facilities.
