Head of Data

Role Purpose:Lead and shape the organisation’s data strategy, ensuring data is reliable, well-governed, and treated as a strategic asset. This position is responsible for data governance, data management, and maintaining data quality, while building analytics capabilities that drive business transformation and inform top-level decision-making.Key Responsibilities:Define and execute the organisation's data strategy & analytics roadmap that aligns with business goals and digital transformation initiatives.Lead enterprise-wide data governance, data quality and data integrity programs, ensuring compliance, accountability and best practices across all business units.Provide thought leadership on leveraging data as a strategic asset to drive innovation, efficiency and competitive advantage. Mentor and inspire cross-functional data, analytics and engineering teams, building a high-performing, collaborative culture. Evaluate opportunities for AI/ML integration, predictive analytics and custom analytics solutions that drive strategic outcomes.Qualifications & Experience:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Statistics or related field.More than 15 years of experience in data management, analytics or information strategy roles, with a track record of leading enterprise-wide initiatives.Deep expertise in data management, data architecture, data analytics, data strategy, data governance and data quality.Strong understanding of enterprise analytics, BI platforms, cloud platforms and emerging technologies like GenAI.Proven ability to influence and advise C-level executives and board of directors on driving enterprise-wide data adoption. Exceptional leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
