We are seeking an exceptional Head of Data Insights to drive our Trust’s strategy, harnessing the power of agile development, advanced analytics, and robust evaluation to deliver real-time, actionable insights for staff across the organisation.As the Head of Data Insights, you will oversee the development and management of complex data systems, lead agile teams, and champion the use of data science and AI. You’ll work closely with senior leaders, clinicians, and external partners to ensure our data platforms are responsive, secure, and support continuous improvement in patient care and operational efficiency. Lead the development and ongoing management of the Trust’s cloud data platform, ensuring accurate, timely, and automated information delivery. Oversee statutory dataset submissions, contractual returns, and financial feeds, acting as the technical lead for complex data vehicles. Drive the Trust’s analytics provision, coaching senior leaders and building capacity for data-driven change. Develop and implement qualitative and quantitative evaluation methods, working with change programme leaders and university partners. Represent the Trust externally with NHS England, ICBs, CSUs, and other national bodies. Ensure compliance with statutory information requirements and information governance, including data protection. Lead and inspire the Data & Analytics department, promoting a culture of empowerment, accountability, and professional development.Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust provides a range of services including secondary mental health care across this area.
