Position Summary:The **Head of Radiology** will lead and oversee all operational, clinical, and administrative activities within the Radiology Department. The role requires a seasoned radiologist with extensive experience in diagnostic imaging, team leadership, and department management. The incumbent will ensure high-quality imaging services, technological advancement, patient safety, and compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards.Key Responsibilities:. Leadership and Management:**- Oversee and guide the radiology department’s daily operations across all modalities (X-ray, CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Mammography, Fluoroscopy, PET-CT, Interventional Radiology, etc.).- Lead, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary team of radiologists, technicians, and support staff.- Ensure effective scheduling, workflow, and staffing for optimal department performance.- Establish departmental policies, procedures, and best practices in line with institutional and regulatory requirements.**2. Clinical and Technical Expertise:- Provide expert interpretation across multiple imaging modalities.- Maintain the highest standards of diagnostic accuracy and patient care.- Stay abreast of advancements in radiologic techniques and technologies; lead the integration of innovations in clinical practice.- Review and validate complex diagnostic studies and interventional procedures.**3. Quality Assurance and Compliance:- Implement and monitor a comprehensive quality control program for all radiologic services.- Ensure adherence to safety protocols, including radiation protection and infection control standards.- Oversee accreditation and compliance with NABH, NABL, and other applicable regulatory bodies.**4. Education and Research:- Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the department.- Engage in research, publication, and academic collaborations where applicable.- Conduct regular CME sessions, workshops, and training for staff and junior doctors.**5. Strategic and Financial Management:- Develop and manage the departmental budget, expenditure, and cost optimization strategies.- Contribute to equipment procurement and maintenance planning for advanced imaging solutions.- Collaborate with hospital leadership on strategic planning, business development, and service expansion.**6.
