Head of Technology Operations – 12-Month FTCLocation: Buckinghamshire (2–3 days per week on site)Salary: £95,000 – £110,000Start: ASAPAn excellent opportunity to join a commercially minded, customer-focused organisation under a newly appointed CIO, as they reshape and modernise their technology capability.As Head of Technology Operations, you’ll lead the infrastructure, service delivery and business systems teams — ensuring operational stability today while driving the organisation’s shift towards a service-based, value-driven technology model.You’ll play a key role in moving from a traditional ITIL-led environment to a more agile, DevOps-enabled approach, enhancing responsiveness, automation and collaboration. The organisation operates as a Microsoft house, so strong knowledge of Microsoft cloud and infrastructure technologies (Azure, M365, Windows Server) is essential.You will:Lead and develop teams across Service Desk, Infrastructure and Business SystemsChampion a service-based approach, embedding customer experience, accountability and measurable valueDrive operational improvement and process efficiency, aligning technology with business outcomesOversee vendor performance, budgets and commercial relationshipsPartner with Security, Product and Transformation teams to deliver strategic initiativesBe instrumental in shaping the future direction of Technology Operations and building modern capabilityAbout you:You’re an experienced technology operations leader with deep Microsoft expertise and a track record of modernising service delivery. You combine a commercial and customer-centric mindset with the ability to influence change, build high-performing teams, and deliver operational excellence.
