Head of Legal

Our Client is a global logistics group specializing in freight forwarding and postal services. We are seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to oversee legal operations across Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and India. This role will provide strategic legal guidance on contracts, corporate governance, labor and employment matters, and litigation management, ensuring compliance with regional laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of logistics and supply chain operations, enabling effective partnership with business teams in a dynamic, multinational environment.Key ResponsibilitiesContract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, including logistics and transportation contracts, vendor agreements, and service-level arrangements.Corporate Governance: Ensure compliance with local and international corporate governance standards; advise on entity management and regulatory filings.Labor & Employment: Provide guidance on employment law across the EU; support HR on policies, disputes, and workforce compliance. Oversee outside counsel.Litigation & Dispute Resolution: Manage and coordinate litigation, arbitration, and pre-litigation matters with external counsel; assess risk and develop strategies. Oversee outside counsel. Compliance & Risk Management: Monitor legal and regulatory developments; implement compliance programs and training.Logistics Expertise: Apply knowledge of logistics and transportation frameworks to support contractual and regulatory requirements in the sector.QualificationsMinimum 8+ years of post-qualification experienceProven track record in contracts, governance, employment law, and litigation across multiple regions.Strong background in logistics, transportation, or supply chain industry is highly desirable.Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
