OverviewKnight Frank MENA is embarking on a transformative journey, evolving and expanding its capabilities to better serve our clients in the dynamic MENA real estate landscape. As part of this evolution, we are looking to recruit an experienced and Head of Marcoms to manage our Marcoms function, providing world-class support to our transactional, advisory and projects and development services businesses, in addition to making the most of our market-leading research content to support the growth and expansion of our MENA business.ScopeThis is a role that requires a candidate with a proven track record of delivery within a dynamic fast-paced Marcoms team in a global multi-disciplinary business in the real estate sector. As Head of Marcoms you will: Put the external client at the centre of everything we do and assist fee-earning internal clients to achieve their objectives.Deliver Marcoms solutions that synchronize with the needs of the business.Develop and run meaningful and impactful digital campaigns linked to clear objectives and KPIs. Manage the Marcoms team.Improve/enhance our website and digital content in coordination with the wider Marcoms team.Take the lead on client/media events, while working with internal and external comms to ensure maximum exposure. You will be fluent in English (Arabic would be an advantage) and possess excellent organizational, communication and stakeholder management skills. ResponsibilitiesLeadershipEstablish regular check-ins with your line managers and all service line heads to understand their requirements in detail and to provide updates on associated Marcoms activities.Stakeholder management and engagement: Build, establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders and service line department heads around the MENA business and ensure that the support they receive is exceptional and in line with their expectations.Establish regular check-ins with the Head of Research, MENA to gain an intimate understanding of the Research outputs planned and their relevance to the business, so that they can be used to elevate our brand, profile and reputation. Rapidly adapt direction based on stakeholder and/or line manager feedback.Identify, capture, improve and regularly share/communicate Marcoms related KPIs to demonstrate your impact on the business (social media followers, etc.). Team managementDevelop the Marcoms team, including continuous identification of skills gaps and developing new skills within the team, either through training or recommendations for recruitment, in partnership with your line managers.Identify and resolve resource and skills gaps across the Marcoms function to cater to the needs of our fee-earning teams around the MENA region, with resources recruited and deployed in different territories to address this. Our Saudi Arabia business should be an immediate focus for this.Following a detailed review of roles and responsibilities across the team, you should present a proposed team restructure plan within your first 100 days to your line managers for review, comment and implementation.Finances and budgetingManage the Marcoms budget, with support from your line managers, to ensure maximum return on resource investment across all service lines. Develop and implement appropriate approvals processes for all Marcoms’ expenses with your line managers.Constantly strive for cost efficiencies across all Marcoms spending by carrying out and reporting on regular reviews linked to the above, with regular reporting.Identify and make the case for additional spending above and over the above that may be linked to events, PR, branding, merchandise, software/training, etc. Develop and maintain a list of freelancers in all our MENA markets for use during busy periods.EventsLead and manage all aspects of Knight Frank events, including, but not limited to client events and media roundtables, with the support of your team and your line-managers, ensuring that stakeholders are kept involved at every step of the way.Be ready, willing, and able to travel and/or deploy Marcoms resources and/or freelancers around the region to lead and deliver all aspects of Knight Frank events as required. Systems & IT competenceMicrosoft Office suite. Project Management software support. Adobe Suite (InDesign, Photoshop & Premiere Pro) desirable. Yammer or equivalent internal intranet systems usage experience is desirable. Skills and QualificationsDegree educated.8-10 years’ experience in real estate marketing with a track record of successful results – experience within the Middle East real estate sector is desirable. Creative thinker with a passion for developing your career in the Marcoms field.Collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrable ability to build strong reputation based on solid delivery.A solution provider.Strong sense of ownership and accountability for results.An exceptional understanding of marketing techniques including digital, event management, CRM and print processes. The ability to identify, recommend, understand, and adapt to new technologies and software Impeccable grasp of English. Flexible, adaptable and with a co-operative and collaborative attitude.Excellent writing and communication skills. Experience across B2B, B2C and B2G segments. An intimate understanding and awareness of each internal stakeholder's requirements and the company's brand image, research outputs/content, products, and services. Detail-oriented and organised with a focus on delivering high quality work. An intelligent listener.
