Head of Operations - Financial Services

The Panel is working on a retained basis with a global financial services firm to source an exceptional Head of Operations to lead and scale their operational functions. This role is critical to driving operational excellence across a range of operational areas, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting strategic growth initiatives. The successful candidate will combine deep operational expertise with strategic vision, a global perspective, and a strong network within the Irish and European funds and investment management sector.Key Responsibilities:Operational Leadership: Lead and oversee all operational functions across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring efficiency, effectiveness, and scalability of processes.Strategic Growth: Partner with the executive team to develop and execute strategies for growth, scalability, and business expansion.Global Operations Management: Implement and manage a ‘follow-the-sun’ operational model to ensure seamless global coverage and service delivery.Regulatory & Compliance Oversight: Maintain close engagement with regulatory bodies, particularly the Central Bank of Ireland (CBI), ensuring compliance and staying ahead of regulatory changes.Technology Enablement: Drive operational transformation through technology, including AI and other relevant fintech solutions, to enhance efficiency and competitive advantage.Industry Engagement: Leverage strong networks within the Irish and European financial services sectors (e.g., Irish Funds, professional associations) to support business objectives and reputation.Leadership & Culture: Serve as a key member of the senior leadership team, fostering a high-performance, collaborative, and innovative operational culture.Key Qualifications & Experience:Extensive operational experience across a broad range of funds and investment management functions (e.g., funds operations, middle office, project management and regulatory compliance)Proven track record of strategic leadership with the ability to scale and grow businesses.Global mindset with experience managing operations across multiple geographies.Deep understanding of regulatory requirements in Ireland and Europe, with comfort engaging directly with the Central Bank of Ireland (CBI).Strong technological awareness, including familiarity with AI, automation, and other technologies relevant to financial operations.Well-networked within the Irish and European financial services community.Experience as part of a senior leadership or executive team, contributing to business strategy and decision-making.
