Head of Operations

Role Title: Head of Operations Salary: Excellent basic salary plus benefits Location: Leicestershire We’re looking for an experienced and dynamic Head of Operations to lead the end-to-end operation of a large, purpose-built automated warehouse. You’ll be responsible for ensuring outstanding performance across all areas, from site management and customer service to health and safety, sustainability, financial results, and stakeholder collaboration.This is a unique opportunity to be part of something from the ground up. You’ll play a key role in the implementation of the new facility, its systems, and processes, before taking full leadership of the operational team and the day-to-day running of the warehouse. Responsibilities include:Leading the setup and establishment of the new warehouse site and systemsRecruiting and building your operational teamDefining key processes, performance metrics, and service standardsDeveloping strong relationships with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and business partnersCollaborating with 3PL, warehouse automation, and WMS partners to ensure smooth implementationFostering an inclusive, high-performance cultureOverseeing the operational launch and transition of operations into the new facilityMaintaining service excellence and operational stability through changeStrengthening stakeholder and supplier relationships to support business growthEmbedding “business as usual” operations, driving consistency and reliabilityLeading continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce costsDeveloping and growing your team, promoting accountability, innovation, and continuous learningEmbedding company culture, values, and behaviours throughout the operation Candidate requirements:Proven track record in senior operational or logistics leadership rolesStrong understanding of automated warehouse systems and best practicesFocused on delivering excellent customer serviceExceptional leadership and communication skills with the ability to engage teams and stakeholders at all levelsStrategic thinker with a hands-on approach to delivering resultsCommitment to continuous improvement, safety, and sustainabilityCollaborative in style with an entrepreneurial mindset If this sounds of interest, please send your CV in Word format, quoting reference 33433/LT/EL detailing your current remuneration package and availability.
