Head of Risk

We are Hiring Head of RiskOur client is one of the leading Finance companies which is located in Colombo.Responsibilities Identify and assess current and potential risk areas across business operations, including credit, market, liquidity, strategic, operational, and IT risk.Implement and manage the company's risk management framework in alignment with CBSL directives and internal policies. Develop and review risk-related policies, procedures, and processes on a periodic basis. Create frameworks for risk identification, assessment, measurement, and reporting. Conduct both quantitative and qualitative risk analyses, including stress tests and scenario planning.Support strategic decision-making by providing risk-based input on capital management, liquidity planning, and product/service cevelopment. Actively participate in ALCO (Asset and Liability Committee) meetings related to market and liquidity risks. Attend Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity Plan (BCP) drills; recommend appropriate mitigation strategies. Prepare and submit risk assessment reports for BIRMC reviews and audits. Monitor credit exposures and propose mitigation plans where needed. Stay updated on evolving risk trends, tools, and industry best practices.QualificationsDegree in finance, Risk Management, Business Administration, or a related field or a member of CIMA, ACA, ACCA Minimum 5 years experience in a risk management or related role, preferably within the financial services industry. Familiarity with regulatory risk guidelines and frameworks, especially those mandated by CBSL Strong ability to conduct in-depth risk assessments, stress testing, and scenario analysis, Exceptional analytical, presentation, and communication skills.
