This leadership role will focus on executing a comprehensive trading strategy that aligns with Crayola’s overall business goals while driving profitability for the category and the brand. The Head of Sales will lead, develop and mentor a high-performing sales team, fostering a culture of commercial excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.As a senior leader, you will actively shape Crayola’s position in the market, both through strategic partnerships and internal collaboration. Your ability to build strong, executive-level relationships with customers, lead innovation initiatives, and drive digital transformation will be critical to maintaining Crayola’s competitive edge. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with customer goals, optimise market share, and drive demand for new product placements.In addition to achieving P&L targets, the Head of Sales will explore new product categories to broaden Crayola’s presence and create compelling sales content to fuel growth. Your leadership will be integral to developing the sales team, ensuring they are equipped with the tools and insights needed to succeed in a dynamic market environment while reinforcing Crayola’s values and culture.Key Responsibilities:Trading Strategy Implementation: Collaborate cross-functionally to align and execute category, brand, and commercial strategies with key customers, including joint business planning processes.Relationship & Executive Engagement: Lead key customer accounts, fostering long-term partnerships and securing executive interactions to align on strategic goals.Team Development: Build team capability in commercial competencies such as insight-based selling, negotiation, and revenue growth management.Profitability Management: Monitor account profitability and manage P&L drivers to improve overall financial performance.Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams to execute programs that align with category strategies and JBP objectives.Innovation & Market Growth: Champion product innovation to enhance market presence and lead sustainability efforts aligned with both customer and corporate goals.Data-Driven Strategy: Leverage data analytics to optimize inventory, forecast demand, and inform strategic decision-making.Commercial Excellence: Implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency, drive cost reduction, and maintain quality standards.Change & Digital Transformation: Lead change management initiatives and drive digital transformation to enhance customer engagement and operational effectiveness.Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI): Promote a diverse, inclusive workplace by driving DEI initiatives that support a culture of collaboration, respect, and innovation.What we’re looking for: Sales & Account Management: 8-10 years of experience in sales or account management within a related field, with a proven track record of driving growth and building key customer relationships.Leadership & Cross-Functional Experience: At least 5 years of leadership experience, with cross-functional expertise in areas like Category Management, Marketing, or Trade Marketing.Digital & Ecommerce Expertise: intimate knowledge of building ecommerce selling platforms including AmazonConsumer Good Expertise: Extensive experience in Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) sales or category management, ideally with top-tier CPG manufacturers.Analytical & Fact-Based Selling: Strong analytical skills and a data-driven approach to customer strategies and decision-making.Negotiation & Strategic Planning: Exceptional negotiation skills and the ability to develop and execute long-term business strategies.Execution & Performance Management: Proven ability to execute strategies effectively and drive measurable results.Communication & Influencing: Excellent communication skills to influence stakeholders at all levels and drive alignment across the organization.Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to drive profitability and strategic decision-making.Change Management & Innovation: Ability to lead innovation and navigate organizational change while maintaining focus on growth objectives.Diversity & Inclusion at CrayolaWe will cultivate diversity and create a culture of inclusion for our collective brands – one that grows through sustained action, demonstrates care for every life experience, inspires new products and content, and builds a sense of belonging in which every employee is able to be their very best.
