Active areas include Galaxy underground, Cue open pit, and Penny underground, with further expansion and exploration underway.The RoleAs Health & Safety Manager at Mount Magnet, you’ll lead the site’s HSE function, driving a proactive safety culture and ensuring compliance across all health, safety, emergency response, and injury management activities. Reporting to the General Manager, you’ll work closely with department leaders to embed best practices, support continuous improvement, and protect the wellbeing of everyone on site.Key Responsibilities IncludeLead the Health & Safety team to deliver effective systems, reporting, and complianceOversee emergency response, fitness for work, and injury management programsBuild strong relationships across departments to support safety performance and accountabilityMonitor safety trends and lead initiatives to reduce risk and improve outcomesConduct audits, facilitate risk assessments, and oversee incident investigationsEnsure compliance with all legislative, regulatory, and company HSE requirementsDevelop and implement safety procedures, management plans, and continuous improvement strategiesAbout YouYou’re a confident and capable safety leader with a strong foundation in occupational health and emergency response. With hands-on experience in mining or heavy industry, you bring a proactive approach to building safety systems, leading investigations, and driving compliance. You communicate clearly, act decisively, and know how to embed safety into every layer of site operations.To Be Successful In This Role, You’ll BringTertiary qualification in Occupational Health & SafetyCertificate IV in Workplace Training & Assessment, Healthcare, and Certificate III in Emergency ResponseLeadership experience in mining or heavy industry environmentsStrong verbal and written communication skillsProven ability to develop and implement safety systems in small operationsSkilled in incident investigations and risk assessment facilitationHigh-level understanding of relevant health and safety legislationProficient in writing procedures, reports, and control documentationFamiliarity with INX software (InControl, InTuition, InFlight, LMS) – desirableICAM Lead Investigator accreditation – desirableExposure to underground and open pit mining, processing, maintenance, and haulage operations – desirableThis exciting site leadership opportunity is offered on a 4:3 FIFO roster from Perth, placing you at the heart of a growing gold producer during a strong phase of expansion.
