You will be responsible for of the warehouse function within their nominated section, fostering a culture of safety and overseeing the performance of team members and contributing to the overall success of the warehouse, ensuring an efficient warehouse operation that meets business targets, compliance, and productivity targets.Role Located: WacolRoster – Monday to Friday, Nightshift (10pm to 6pm)Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in running an efficient warehouse operation which can fulfil operational and customer demand and meet set targets.Coordinate and enable the delivery of materials to production lines in accordance with production schedules.Train new Warehouse operatives within area of responsibility in a timely manner.Enable and coordinate inventories in area of responsibility are accurate.Enable and coordinate stock movements are recorded accurately.Support organising and participate in stock takes at regular intervals.Ensure that any computerised or automated systems are accurate and up to date.Identify any systems improvements and make recommendations for change.Where possible resolve any issues or problems which occur in the warehouse.Where appropriate elevate the issue to a more senior level.Produce regular reports and statistics as and when required.Review ways to reduce waste and provide continuous improvement opportunities.Assist in planning future capacity requirements.Ensure hazardous materials are stored in accordance with requirements.Ensure that vehicles, machinery, and equipment is well maintained and fit for purpose.Maintain high standards of security in the warehouse.Ensure staff comply to health, safety and environmental regulations and work safely to protect themselves and others in the warehouse environment.Ensure a clean and tidy working environment to aid operational efficiency.What We Are Looking ForDemonstrated experience/skills as a Senior warehouse operator, and/or Warehouse inventory/dispatch person.Demonstrated experience of warehousing Inventory Control and Stock Management.Ability to lead a team demonstrating sound people management skills and coaching.Well-developed written and oral communication skills with the ability to always communicate with internal/ external contacts of all levels.Ability to work as part of a dynamic team environment and leading of cross-functional teams.Demonstrated ability with keyboard and general computer skills/knowledge.Demonstrated experience with Warehouse management systems.QualificationsCertificate IV in Front Line Leadership and or Certificate IV in Logistics and Warehousing or Diploma in Front line management or demonstrated sound experience with a similar role.Valid LF Forklift and/or LO Order Picker license mandatory.Cert4 in Leadership and or Cert4 Logistics and warehousing or Diploma in Front lineWhy work for us!Komatsu BenefitsFamilies Policy: 16 weeks of paid primary carer parental leave, 4 weeks of secondary carer leave, plus many more family friendly benefits.Financial: Income Protection Insurance provided through our company superannuation fund.Career: Recognition, awards, flexibility, further education studies and internal career development.Health: Corporate discount with Bupa, Total Wellbeing Solution with Telus Health.Travel: Discounts with Avis, Qantas, Crown, IHG and travel agents.Yearly Bonus: Potential to receive a yearly bonus.Referral Program: $3000 referral payment for referring a successful new employee to Komatsu.Ready to get started?
