Qiddiya Investment Company is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Director specialized in Roads and Highways to lead our health and safety initiatives during the development and delivery of key transportation projects. This critical role requires a dedicated professional who can ensure compliance with high safety standards while promoting a culture of safety across all aspects of highway and road construction.Your expertise will be instrumental in developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive health and safety programs and strategies that safeguard employees, contractors, and the public throughout the project lifecycle.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement tailored health and safety strategies and policies specific to road and highway projects, in alignment with Qiddiya's operational goalsConduct comprehensive risk assessments and safety audits of construction sites to identify hazards and enforce mitigation measuresLead incident investigation processes, determining root causes of accidents and developing effective corrective actions to prevent recurrenceCreate and deliver specialized training programs for staff, ensuring robust knowledge of safety procedures and regulatory compliance within road and highway operationsCollaborate closely with project managers to integrate safety considerations into project planning, scheduling, and execution phasesMonitor health and safety performance metrics, providing regular updates and reports to senior management on compliance and areas requiring improvementEngage with regulatory agencies and industry stakeholders to ensure full adherence to health and safety legislation and best practicesChampion a culture of safety by promoting continuous improvement and innovative safety practices across road and highway projectsStay informed of industry trends, technological advancements, and legislative changes regarding road safety management to enhance current practicesRequirementsBachelor's degree in Occupational Health, Civil Engineering, Safety Management, or a related field; Master's degree is preferredRoads experienceHighways ExperienceInfrastructure Experience Minimum of 12-15 years of experience in health and safety management, specifically within the roads and highways sectorComprehensive knowledge of health and safety regulations, standards, and practices relevant to road construction and infrastructure projectsProven track record of developing and implementing effective health and safety programsStrong leadership skills with the ability to influence and motivate diverse teamsExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skillsOutstanding communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage internal and external stakeholdersProfessional certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent are highly desirableAbility to thrive in a fast-paced work environment while managing multiple projects effectivelyBenefitsJoin Qiddiya's team and enjoy a dynamic work environment that offers growth opportunities, a collaborative culture, and the chance to make a significant impact as our future Playmaker !
