The company’s enduring success is attributed to a passion for creativity, strong ethics, and the dedication of its people, who share a commitment to the company's vision of making a difference in people’s lives.Due to continuous growth and expansion, Pharmathen Pharmaceuticals offers a great opportunity for career development and is seeking to recruit a Health, Safety & Environmental Lead for the Industrial Operations division in our Pallini premises.As a HSE Lead, the ideal candidate will execute health, safety, and evacuation plans in the workplace according to legal guidelines and internal procedures. He/ She will identify, draft and implement strategy and approach to improve the company's environmental profile and footprint, improve resource efficiency, promote sustainable practices across all business operations, develop and execute environmental initiatives, monitor compliance with applicable regulations, and drive continuous improvement in environmental performance.More ParticularlyWhat you will do: Provide Health and Safety measures, assess risks associated with tools and equipment, jobsites, and work environments within their assigned research marketParticipate in the development and implementation of the corporate environmental sustainability strategy and approach aligned with the company's overall goals and objectivesSupport staff with the identification of environmental aspects and determining the project objectives and targetMonitor, communicate internally and ensure compliance with local, regional, and international ESG reporting and environmental sustainability regulations, standards, and guidelinesMonitor and recommend solutions to issues that need improvement, design strategies to reduce incidents of illness, environmental accidents, and other issues that may affect public safetyDevelop hazard control processes, methods, and programs and monitor implementation of safety plans according to plans and objectivesPrepare future safety plans based on past experiences and facts, design training programs to provide safety awareness educationSupport the Top Management in the Health & Safety Policy and Guidelines issue, in the Organization roles and responsibilities definition, for what concerns safety aspects and Health & Safety Management System standard issueMaintain and manage equipment and processes related to each project of HSEBe responsible for the ISO 14001 compliance, follow up and maintenance Provide management teams with guidance on Health & Safety and confirm that the projects fulfill industry and federal guidelinesCollaborate with internal departments to establish and maintain an effective environmental management system to identify, monitor, and control environmental aspects and impactsConduct regular audits to assess compliance with environmental policies and procedures and coordinate corrective actions in collaboration with internal departmentsRisk Assessment and Management. Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential hazards in the workplace. Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to minimize workplace hazardsIncident Investigation and Reporting. Lead investigations into workplace incidents to determine root causes and prevent recurrence. Prepare and submit incident reports to regulatory bodies as requiredParticipate in and coordinate data collection for the preparation of Annual Sustainability Reports, CDP, SBTi and other international standards in collaboration with internal departmentsEmergency Preparedness - Develop and maintain emergency response plans, ensuring they are effective and up to date.
