Health, Safety, Environmental Specialist

About the roleWe are seeking an experienced Health, Safety, Environmental Specialist to join our team at FLANDERS of Australia based in Brisbane. This role is responsible for supporting the business in achieving its Health, Safety and Environmental objectives. You will work closely with operational leaders and employees to ensure compliance, drive a strong safety culture, and deliver sustainable business outcomes.What you'll be doingDevelop, implement, and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and management systems in line with ISO standards and Australian legislation.Partner with managers and teams to deliver best practice HSE support and advice.Lead incident investigations, risk assessments, and site audits across QLD and WA.Develop and deliver safety training, toolbox talks and awareness programs.Analyse HSE data and provide insights to support decision-making.Engage with regulators, industry bodies and stakeholders.Travel between QLD and WA sites to ensure consistent safety leadership and presenceEssential CriteriaTertiary qualifications in Work Health & Safety, Environmental Management, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).Completed and valid EX (AS3800) Workshop accreditation.Strong knowledge of WHS and environmental legislation.Demonstrated skills in risk management, incident investigation, and safety leadership.Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder engagement skills.The ability to work autonomously, manage priorities, and build trust.Flexibility to travel interstate regularly.What we offerAt FLANDERS of Australia, we are committed to providing our employees with a rewarding and supportive work environment.
