As we continue our journey toward luxury, maintaining impeccable room standards remains one of the most important elements of guest satisfaction.The Room Attendant plays a critical role in ensuring guest rooms and designated areas are cleaned, maintained, and presented according to the hotel's quality standards.You will feel right at home in this role if you take pride in your work, pay attention to the smallest details, and enjoy working within a structured, professional hospitality environment.Minimum RequirementsMatric Certificate (Grade 12)Current housekeeping experience within a hotel min 2 yearsStrong understanding of room cleaning standards and proceduresAbility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidaysPhysically fit and able to stand for extended periodsStrong attention to detail and time managementProfessional attitude and good personal presentationValid South African ID or work permitCV must be fully updated prior to submissionKey ResponsibilitiesGuest Room Cleaning & PreparationClean and service guest rooms according to hotel standards, ensuring rooms are prepared efficiently and accurately for arrivals, stayovers, and departures.Room Presentation & Quality ControlEnsure bedrooms, bathrooms, linen, amenities, and surfaces meet hotel cleanliness and presentation standards.Public Area SupportAssist with cleaning corridors, service areas, and assigned public spaces when required.Linen & Supplies ManagementEnsure housekeeping trolleys are stocked with linen, guest amenities, and cleaning supplies required for daily duties.Maintenance ReportingIdentify and report maintenance issues or room defects to the relevant department promptly.Guest InteractionRespond politely and professionally to guest requests when approached and escalate concerns where required.Key Skills & AttributesStrong attention to detailEfficient and organised working styleReliable and accountable approachAbility to work independently and as part of a teamPositive attitude and willingness to assist colleaguesGuest-focused mindsetWhy Work With UsBe part of a hotel committed to sincere, memorable hospitalityWork within a large, professional housekeeping operationOpportunity to grow within a well-established Cape Town hotelSupportive team environmentCompetitive salary and employee benefitsRecruitment aligns with the company's Employment Equity Plan.Take pride in the details that make every stay exceptional at Cape Town's most loved hotel.
