Community Ventures currently manages programs in early childhood education, school-age care, and vacation care services across approximately 56 primary schools. Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, hybrid HR Business Partner role located in Parramatta, NSW. Community Ventures is seeking a strategic and hands-on HR Business Partner (HRBP) to support leaders and employees across the full employee life cycle. This is a dynamic role where you’ll partner with operational leaders to deliver HR solutions that enhance employee experience, ensure compliance, and support our mission to provide high-quality education and care to children.As an HRBP, you’ll play five key roles:Trusted Advisor – Coach and guide leaders with HR expertise to manage risk and build capability.Business Partner – Align HR strategy with operational goals to drive performance.Employee Advocate – Promote a positive, inclusive, and engaging workplace.Culture & Values Champion – Inspire behaviours aligned with our values: Respect, Encourage, Care.Change Agent – Lead and embed people-focused change initiatives.Key Responsibilities:Strategic HR PartnershipAdvise on organisational design, workforce planning, and succession strategies.Lead change management initiatives with clear, empathetic communication.Develop engagement action plans using HR data insights.Contribute to remuneration and benefits strategy.Operational HR PartnershipBuild strong relationships with leaders and employees.Align with HR specialists in Talent Acquisition, WHS, and Safeguarding.Support internal communications and engagement initiatives.Employee Relations & ComplianceProvide expert advice on HR policies, Awards, and legislation.Manage complex employee relations issues and investigations.Ensure compliance with Fair Work and employment law.Capability Building & L&DIdentify training needs and support development planning.HR ReportingMaintain accurate HRIS records and contribute to workforce reporting.Safety & WellbeingCollaborate with WHS to support safe work practices and return-to-work programs.Other DutiesAction HR inbox items, support HR projects, and champion our values.You’re a proactive and experienced HR professional who thrives in a collaborative, values-led environment.You’ll bring:Tertiary qualifications in HR, Business, or related field.3–5 years’ experience in a generalist HRBP role.Strong knowledge of Australian employment law and modern awards.Experience managing complex ER issues and driving change.Ability to interpret workforce data for strategic planning.Sector experience in NFP, early childhood education, or community services (desirable).Understanding of child safety obligations (desirable).Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS platforms (ELMO highly regarded).We’re looking for a confident and capable HR professional who brings:Relationship-building expertiseContinuous improvement mindsetCritical thinking and problem-solving skillsCourage and confidenceStrong communication skillsEmpathy and curiosity – A thoughtful approach to navigating sensitive and complex people matters.Professional discretionOrganisational skills To be considered for this role you must have:A cleared Working with Children Check (WWCC)A cleared National Police CheckA valid driver’s licence and access to a vehicleApply now and be part of our community of Learning for Life.
