Location: Sofia, Bulgaria (Hybrid)Employment type: Full-timeLanguage: Bulgarian & English fluency requiredSeniority: Mid Level🧳 About the RoleOne of our companies is a licensed crypto exchange in Bulgaria, currently preparing our application under the EU MiCA framework. To strengthen our HR team, we are looking for someone who’s passionate about people operations and has a strong sense of structure, responsibility, and care - especially when it comes to handling sensitive information. You’ll be helping us shape smooth HR processes while also making sure we handle data the right way. If you are a dedicated, proactive and detail-oriented HR Specialist, join our team in Sofia. This role is primarily focused on HR admin work - preparing employment contracts, managing onboarding, maintaining employee records, and supporting internal processes. In addition, the role includes responsibility for overseeing basic data protection compliance as required by GDPR, in coordination with our legal and compliance team.📝 Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:Drafting and managing employment contracts, annexes, and personnel documentationPreparing onboarding plans and coordinating with relevant departmentsMaintaining and updating employee records in accordance with legal requirementsSupporting offboarding processes, vacation and leave tracking, and documentation requestsAssisting with HR audits, internal reporting, and collaboration with payroll and legalMonitoring data processing activities involving third parties and ensuring proper Data Processing Agreements (DPA) are in placeActing as a main point of contact with data protection authorities (e.g., КЗЛД) for formal communication, as needed✅ Requirements:Experience in HR administration or People & Culture roles - preparing contracts, onboarding plans, maintaining employee records, and supporting internal processesFamiliarity with Bulgarian labor law and a working understanding of GDPR - you don’t have to be a lawyer, but you should feel comfortable referencing key articles (e.g. data subject rights, response deadlines, DPIAs) and knowing when they applySome hands-on experience dealing with data-related incidents (like a potential breach or regulator query), or at least the ability to think clearly and act responsibly when something unexpected happensA practical approach to privacy - you know how to weave data protection into day-to-day business needs like KYC, cloud tools, or marketing processesExcellent communication, organizational and administrative skills that can help you guide colleagues in different teams in a way that’s clear, helpful, and collaborativeA naturally discreet, organized, and thoughtful working style - someone who’s proactive, dependable, and values doing things rightProfessional proficiency in both Bulgarian and EnglishBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Law, or a related fieldAbility to manage multiple responsibilities with a high level of discretion and professionalismUnderstanding of data security principles and risk management practices is a plus🎁 What We Offer:A stable, long-term position in a forward-thinking companyA supportive team lead who will be right beside you as you grow into the roleStructured onboarding and guidance to help you succeed from day oneRoom to develop further and grow into your role depending on your interestsFlexible working hours and a hybrid setup (Sofia-based)Competitive compensation aligned with your experience and responsibilitiesIf you’re an organized HR professional who enjoys admin work and wants to take part in shaping processes in a growing company - we’d love to hear from you!
