Job Description

As an HR Generalist at Ackermans, you will play a crucial role in delivering a people-oriented service to the organization. You will act as HR partner to support our business functions with various aspects of the employee life cycle, fostering a positive workplace culture, and ensuring compliance with relevant policies and procedures.KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:Sound understanding of HR best practices (recruitment, talent management, remuneration and benefits, performance management and employee relations)A working knowledge of the latest Microsoft packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).Knowledge and experience on HRIS systems would be advantageous.Sound knowledge in HR and Payroll administration processesSKILLS REQUIRED:The ability to be resilient, have tenacity and maintain high levels of drive and initiative under pressureThe ability to influence across various levels and functions within the businessCustomer service focus both internally and externally and ensuring good interpersonal relationshipsExcellent language skills (verbal and written) in EnglishBe able to work independently, as well as be a team playerGood judgment together with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilitiesThe ability to communicate effectively at all levels both within, as well as outside the companyExceptional planning, organising & time management skills EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:Essential:A minimum of 5 years relevant HR Administrator experience 2-3 years Consultant/Generalist experienceAdvantage:Previous relevant HR Generalist experience within a retail environment.QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:Essential:A Tertiary HR Qualification (Human Resource Management/Industrial and/or Organizational Psychology).
