Our client is a fast-growing beauty e-commerce company with a strong track record of innovative product development and international expansion. Through its flagship brand, the company has defined a new lip makeup category, achieved market leadership on major e-commerce platforms, and built a global retail and influencer network.As part of its rapid growth, the company is expanding its footprint in Indonesia and is looking for a dynamic and experienced HR Manager to build and lead the local team from the ground up.Key Responsibilities1. Team Building & Recruitment (Core Focus)Lead the establishment of the Indonesian team from scratch and achieve the recruitment target of 20 hires, including key roles in Operations, Marketing, and Live Streaming. Develop and optimize localized recruitment channels (Jobstreet, Kalibrr, campus hiring, KOL referrals, etc.) with an average hiring rate of 3 new employees per month. Enhance and oversee the onboarding process to ensure a 90% retention rate during the first month of employment. 2. Localization of Headquarters StrategyAdapt and localize global HR policies to align with Indonesian labor laws and business practices (e.g., KPI models, salary & benefits, 13th-month pay, religious holidays). Organize quarterly cultural integration activities, including values workshops, to foster alignment between HQ and local teams. 3. Compliance & Employee RelationsEnsure 100% compliance with employment contract and social security (BPJS) management. Respond to employee relations issues within 48 hours and maintain zero labor arbitration cases annually. Develop and implement a local Employee Handbook, incorporating culturally and religiously sensitive practices. 4. Operational HR SupportIntegrate the HQ OA system with local payroll and HR systems. Maintain 0.5% error rate in payroll and resolve attendance irregularities within 24 hours. Coordinate annual compliance training (anti-harassment, data security) with 100% employee participation. Design local benefits programs (e.g., Eid allowances, flexible prayer schedules). Manage administrative and other local operational matters. RequirementsLanguage: Native Indonesian with business-level English; Mandarin is a plus. Experience: Minimum 5 years in HR, including at least 3 years of hands-on recruitment leadership. Proven track record of scaling teams of 30+ employees. Compliance Knowledge: Certified in Indonesian HR (e.g., HCPI) and strong understanding of Indonesian Manpower Act. Preferred Background: Experience in Chinese-funded or fast-growing tech/beauty companies (e.g., TikTok, SHEIN, Xiaomi).Core CompetenciesRecruitment Agility: Successfully filled critical positions within 3 days. Cultural Bridge: Experienced in facilitating cross-cultural integration between Chinese HQ and local teams. Risk Prevention & Control: Demonstrated capability in handling labor negotiations. Data-Driven: Proficient in HRIS and analytics, including attrition and recruitment cost reporting.Soft Skills & AttributesStrong resilience and adaptability in a startup environment (managing both HR and admin functions). Excellent cultural and religious sensitivity, capable of designing inclusive cross-faith initiatives. Strategic mindset with hands-on execution ability.
