HR Generalist - Manufacturing (on-site)Bolton, OnFood ManufacturingOnsite 5 days/weekThe Company:Our client is a leading Canadian owned and operated food manufacturing business. Non-unionized, with a modern, clean, state of the art facility, they strive for excellence in quality and culture. With plans for future growth and expansion across Canada and the USA into a multi-site operation.The Opportunity:Seeking a highly organized and proactive HR Generalist to join their team. In this dynamic role, you will provide comprehensive support to our People & Culture Team; serve as administrator for the human resources functions and workforce management, including recruiting, employee relations, health and safety, leave and attendance tracking, and administer payroll, and employee records. Provide internal support and partnership to business lines to deliver required human resources.The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication skills, the ability to handle confidential information with discretion, and a commitment to excellence in every aspect of their work. This position is an onsite full-time role.Responsibilities & Deliverables:Knowledgeable about the ESA and ensures that the policy and decision are consistent with the ESA.Own the end-to-end recruitment process ensuring that the selected candidates have the functional and effective competencies for the role.Posts open positions on various channels, reviews candidate applications, conducts pre-screen interviews, recommends candidates to hiring managers, and coordinates interview scheduling for all Production, and Shipping/Receiving roles.Coordinates directly with agencies to fill open roles as required.Conducts orientation for all new full-time and agency employees, familiarizing them with the company’s policies, procedures, and working environment.Maintains updated employee records, including vacation taken, & flex days used.Assists with employee onboarding including workstation, access card, and IT setup.Member of Joint Health & Safety Committee.Prepares required documentation consistent with past practice and current policy including; employment confirmation letters, disciplinary letters, wage increase letters, & Record of Employment.The first point of contact for employee questions in the areas of pay and time off policies - actively support open door policy through words and behaviours.Conducts employee training for all government-mandated programs.Coordinates with payroll by providing all relevant information such as new hires, time off, hours worked, wage rate changes, and employee information updates.Review weekly timesheets and processes approval.Competencies & Qualifications:Problem Solving / Decision Making.Influencing and Collaboration.Results Orientation with Change Management.Critical Thinking.Strong understanding of the Employment Standards ActDegree in Human Resources or related field.CHRP is considered an asset but not required.2-4 years in a related Human Resources role, manufacturing environment is preferred.Must have 2 years of experience with full cycle recruitment including experience with various hiring channels and methods, candidate review, and pre-screening.
