Based in the beautiful Japanese Northern Alps town of Hakuba!This multifaceted role facilitates the office of human resources assisting our English and Japanese speaking team members. The position will include creating systems and processes for the staffing needs of the various departments and locations of Evergreen Outdoor Center. This is a position that follows Japanese labor law, while introducing and implementing best accepted business practices currently available. The HR Manager will assist in the overall success and well-being of the company, and its international and domestic staff. The position will include personal interaction with department managers, as well as being an open door for the needs/concerns of individual employees.The ideal candidate will support the full scope of Human Resources responsibilities and partner with the organization on strategic initiatives. They will maintain and enhance the organization's human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating human resources policies, programs, and practices. ResponsibilitiesConduct the hiring, onboarding, arrival, induction and offboarding of a large seasonal workforceExecute HR administrative duties, e.g. payroll, onboarding, offboarding, leave management, staff accommodation related HR tasks.Troubleshoot issues as they arise, and resolve any problems within a time-frame that allows for business to go uninterrupted.Offer solutions to day-to-day HR operational issues and ensure compliance with Company policies and local legislations.Create and maintain channels of communication among directors and managers that will assist in the dissemination of company policy.  RequirementsStrong recruiting and demonstrated ability to improve talent acquisition strategiesDemonstrated expertise training managers and employeesStrong organizational, critical thinking and communications skillsAttention to detail and good judgementAbility to work legally in Japan (visa sponsorhip available for suitable candidate)Strong Computer SkillsJapanese Driver's Licence or International Driver's LicenceStrong English and Japanese language abilityCheerful and energeticCan do attitude
