Job Description

Develops and administers human resources policies, procedures, and practices in accordance with stated corporate objectives and federal and state legal requirements.Promotes positive employee relations through design, communication, and interpretation of human resources policies and programs.Coordinates recruiting and retention strategies and succession planning process.Coordinates exit interview process and communication of findings to management.Analyzes data, prepares reports, and makes recommendations on a variety of human resources issues.Forecasts hourly headcount and holds leadership accountable for effective utilization of staff.Coordinates training programs, personal and career development, performance appraisal process, compensation systems, diversity and benefit programs.Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.Coordinates employee-relations activities and programs including but not limited to employee counseling, interpretation of policies, new employee orientation, and employee recognition programs.Reviews employee relation’s issues and recommends appropriate responses to management.Coordinates distribution/communication of projects including but not limited to Employee Policy handbook, 401(k) open enrollment, and employee recognition.Manages local administration of workers’ compensation and unemployment claims.Managed onboarding and employee orientation program.QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or equivalent, five to eight years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.PHR or SPHR Certification.Working knowledge of HR laws and regulations. Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds. This includes having the ability to influence management when appropriate.Able to champion new ideas, manage change, and execute on action plans.Experience in HR concentration areas such as benefits; compensation; workforce planning and employment; employee relations; occupational health, safety and security; strategic management; employee development; and training.
