PURPOSE OF THE JOBTo perform all Human Resources general duties and maintain updated information on the HR System To provide a professional HR advisory service and counselling to staff. To manage personnel administration, systems and processes while maintaining our culture and core values (Innovation, Respect, Trust, Teamwork, Quality and Integrity). RESPONSIBILITIESRecruitment and SelectionCost effectively & speedily recruit permanent & temp staff that display SDB core values and culture, adding value to SDB objectives. Ensure recruitment is non-discriminatory & fair & complies with the Employment Equity Act & SDB Employment Equity Plan.Utilise interview Guide for interviews, based on Competencies of job, to ensure consistency in recruitment standards and ensure managers follow same procedures.Ensure HR Governance is adhered to when vacancy arises by obtaining Staff Requisition, manning specification & competencies & placing internal ads (entire company) prior to recruiting externally. Liaise with employment agencies, giving preference to preferred suppliers.Draw up & place adverts in appropriate forums.Draw up & constantly update/improve ISO policy iro Recruitment & Selection & ensure adherence to same. HR Induction Conduct induction for new employeesEnsure that new employees sign the policy awareness statementCheck on Engagement pack for the new employee.Submit engagement pack to Payroll for processing.Draw up & constantly update/improve ISO policy wrt Induction & ensure adherence to same.Ensure Pre-boarding process for new employees are maintained Ensure probation process is adhered to and maintain efficiently. HR Administration Completion, checking, submission & control of all HR admin documentation.Handle all queries regarding the HR policies & procedures with employees, managers, Payroll and relevant parties.Org management: Develop Job descriptions for the various Job Titles.Keep and maintain a database of Job DescriptionsExit Process Ensure seamless exit management process is adhered too. Ensure exit interviews are conducted with all staff leaving the employ of SDBSA.Monitor results and compile a monthly report.Employee RelationsCapture IR Matters onto the HR System.Prepare Documents for CCMA cases.Drafting of DC Notices and Sourcing of a Chairperson.Coordination of the Disciplinary inquiry.Keep knowledge of IR/LRA/BCOEA/EEA currentHR ReportingProvide monthly HR reporting, iro recruitment, industrial relations, exits, movements, staff turnover, leave audits etc. to HRM. Performance management Ensure Performance Appraisal forms are sent out to managers, for completion Annually.Ensure all performance actions and forms are captured on SMS.Do quarterly checks of appraisals and reportingManage performance appraisal process to ensure results are used to develop the full potential of all employees, linked to SDA.FilingFiling of staff records into the employee files.Ensure HR database is kept updated, correct and protected.
