Department: RepairLocation: City of Industry, CACompensation: $18. 00 / hourDescriptioniBUYPOWER is looking for a self-driven, collaborative, and organized individual to join our Repair Team as a PC Repair Technician I. This individual is responsible for repairing customer's PCs via variety of remedies up to and including a full rebuild of the PC as well as burning-in the PC. Additionally, they are also responsible for documenting the repairs on various forms to provide information to both the customer and our team.
The ideal candidate should possess the ability to methodically diagnose a problem as well as be able to think of creative/ good solutions to said problems. Key ResponsibilitiesDiagnose and troubleshoot computer hardware and some software related problems. Install replacement computer hardware parts. Rebuild the customer's PC if need be. Run the PC through the QC and burn-in process to verify problems have been fixed. Prepping the repaired PC for shipment back to the customer. Documenting the repairs with as much detail as possible for both the customer and internal tracking. Occasionally assist other departments if need be.
Skills, Knowledge and ExpertiseExperience with building PCs. Experience with troubleshooting PC hardware issues. Familiarity with BIOs settings and updates. Know how to install Windows and drivers. Familiarity with stress testing computer hardware and identifying irregularities from that testing. Up-to-date knowledge on the latest computer hardware. Some experience with MS Excel. If hired, must provide proof of full vaccination on start date, unless prohibited by federal, state, or local law. Full vaccination means receiving the second dose in a two-dose series (i. e. Pfizer, Moderna), or a single-dose vaccine (i. e J&J).
Examples of proof of full vaccination include an original, photocopied, or digital completed vaccination card that includes name, type of vaccine provided, and date of last dose administered.
