Join Applerouth as an in-school middle school small-group math instructor!We’re hiring several middle school-level small group math instructors who are willing to work in middle schools throughout Fulton County until the end of the school year.This flexible, part-time position involves:Wage: $25/hour plus travel compensation for work done away from your primary work locationMeeting in-person with individuals or small groups at area public schools during the school daySchedules vary by location: indicated on the current application questionnaire Paid training, a supportive team, and opportunities for growthCurrent Needs:Tutors comfortable with middle school math for students building a foundation in rational numbers and proportional reasoning, while introducing the core concepts of expressions, linear equations, functions, and the Pythagorean Theorem to bridge the gap between elementary arithmetic and high school algebra and geometryAbility to support high school algebra and geometry is a big plus!Our biggest need now is for middle math instructors for schools in Sandy Springs, Roswell, Johns Creek, Fairburn, Union City, and East PointHow Scheduling Works:During your interview, we will confirm which open slots you would be available for, and in order of preferenceShould you be offered the position, you will then go through onboarding, 90-minute training, and Fulton County badging, which can take one to two weeks, depending on your circumstancesYou will then be assigned your schedule based on current availability and previously indicated preference. Classes are currently ongoing - with a winter break, usually mid-late December through the first week of January, with most classes finishing up at the end of March or April.
