Job Summary: The Director of Projects (Construction) is responsible for overseeing the planning, development, and execution of construction projects across the university campus. This role ensures that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to the university’s standards for quality and safety. Key Responsibilities: Lead the management and delivery of construction projects, including new buildings, renovations, and infrastructure improvements. Develop project scopes, budgets, schedules, and resource plans in collaboration with university leadership and stakeholders. Oversee project design review, procurement, contractor selection, and contract negotiations.
Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with university policies, building codes, and safety regulations. Monitor project progress, quality control, and budget adherence; prepare and present regular status reports. Manage and mentor project managers and support staff within the projects team. Ensure sustainable building practices and energy efficiency considerations are integrated into projects. Collaborate with campus departments to align construction projects with academic and operational needs. Serve as a key advisor to university leadership on construction and capital project matters. Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field (Master’s degree preferred). Minimum 10 years of experience in construction project management, preferably within higher education or institutional environments. Proven experience managing large-scale construction projects from inception to completion. Strong knowledge of construction methods, contract management, and regulatory requirements. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work collaboratively with diverse teams. Proficiency with project management software and tools. Salary-Upto 24 LPA
