Industrial Designer for an MIT Startup Revolutionizing Cancer Screening

About Us:We’re a Healthcare startup founded by MIT alumni, developing a breakthrough diagnostic platform that aims to transform gastrointestinal health monitoring. Our mission is to make early disease detection accessible and equitable starting with a smart IoT device that redefines how diagnostics are done.We’re currently in stealth mode, backed by industry experts in medical technology and engineering.Position Overview: As a Industrial Designer, you will play a critical role in designing a state-of-the-art Smart IOT Product that will revolutionize the field of gastrointestinal diagnostics. This product will leverage cutting-edge technology to enable non-invasive visualization and monitoring of the human digestive system. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conceptualize and develop design ideas for the Smart IOT. Generate innovative and user-centric concepts that address both medical and patient needs. Create detailed product prototypes and mock-ups, ensuring that designs are technically feasible and meet usability and regulatory requirements. Conduct user testing and gather feedback to refine the product's design. Develop detailed product designs, including product form, user interfaces, and visual elements. Ensure the design is ergonomic, user-friendly, and aesthetically appealing. Research and select appropriate materials, ensuring they are safe for medical use and meet regulatory standards. Collaborate closely with engineers, clinicians, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of design concepts with technical requirements. Champion a user-centered design approach, focusing on the needs and expectations of both healthcare professionals and patients. Prepare and maintain comprehensive design documentation, including design specifications, drawings, and design rationale. Continuously iterate on the design based on feedback, testing, and changing project requirements. Qualifications: Final year Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or a related field. Hands-on skills in product design and prototype making.  3-5 years of working experience as a Product Designer.Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, 3D modelling tools).  Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Creativity and innovation in design thinking. Benefits:We offer compensation package with performance-based bonuses that reflects the high level of ownership and impact in this role.Opportunity to work with founders and cross-functional experts.Massive ownership opportunity where you'll design the core product experience from ground up.Rapid career growth opportunities – your potential is limitless within our expanding organization.Opportunity to travel to onsite client location (Malaysia) as and when required.How to Apply:If you are passionate about creating a visual identity that reflects innovation, accessibility, and equity in healthcare and want to contribute to a startup at the forefront of medical technology, we invite you to apply. Please submit your resume and portfolio to hr@screenwithpeek.com outlining your relevant experience and why you are the best fit for this position.
