Our client, a leading organisation in the legal sector, is seeking an Information & Research Advisor to join their Singapore office. This role is key in supporting lawyers and business teams with high-quality research, current awareness insights, and knowledge services that directly contribute to strategic decision-making across the firm.About the RoleInformation is one of the firm’s most critical assets. The Information & Research team plays a central role in collecting, organising, and maximising the value of both internal know-how and external market intelligence.As an Information & Research Advisor, you will ensure the efficient and effective delivery of research services across practice groups and business teams, aligned with global standards and the firm’s strategic priorities.You will support legal, sector, and client-related research needs, with a strong focus on business development, competitive intelligence, and commercial insights.Key ResponsibilitiesResearch & Enquiry ManagementProvide high-quality, cost-effective research on legal, commercial, sectoral, client and market topics.Act as the main point of contact for research queries from lawyers and business teams.Locate, interpret, summarise, and package information from internal and external sources.Direct users to appropriate materials via intranet, databases, catalogues, journals, books, and digital tools.Record and track all enquiries to ensure consistency and best-practice sharing.Current Awareness & IntelligenceMonitor and report on key legal, regulatory, and industry developments.Deliver tailored current awareness updates using relevant tools (e.g., Newsdesk).Highlight noteworthy developments for internal forums.Training & Capability BuildingSupport training for new joiners and teams on information services and research tools.Coach users on effective research techniques and optimal use of available resources.Promote information products and share best practices across the business.Professional & Team DevelopmentContinuously build your expertise in business and legal research.Represent the team in practice meetings, networks, and external professional events.Contribute to knowledge-sharing, team learning, and performance feedback where relevant.Skills & Experience RequiredCharacter & Soft SkillsStrong interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to influence, collaborate, and engage with stakeholders at all levels.Creative, resourceful, and open to new ideas.Able to multi-task effectively and work pragmatically in a fast-paced environment.A proactive team player.Education & QualificationsDegree holder.Qualification in Information/Library Science (preferred).Broad understanding of legal concepts is an advantage.LanguagesProficiency in English is essential.Ability to communicate in Mandarin is advantageous.ExperienceExperience delivering information and research services within a professional services environment.Demonstrated achievements in improving or managing information services.Technical & Commercial SkillsStrong ability to use and develop office and information systems.Commercial acumen and understanding of business strategy.Ability to prioritise and operate effectively in a dynamic, global environment.Strong customer-service orientation.Why Join?Be part of a globally connected knowledge and research function.Work closely with business and legal leaders in a highly respected professional environment.Opportunity to shape how information and insights drive decision-making across the firm.
