Information Security Officer

You will join our Information Security team, which is part of the Service Integration & Security area. Information Security is placed as a 1st line function in BEC. The services delivered by the Information Security team are crucial and enabling BEC to deliver on its strategy, take strong decisions and maintaining customer trust. This is achieved by overseeing and monitoring how BEC manages and meets its Information Security Requirements.The Information Security team embeds security across BEC by: Driving security governance and organizational alignment through BEC’s ISMS Defining and maintaining BEC’s security requirements and ensuring it is clear and usable for teams in day ‑ to ‑ day work. Creates a consolidated security posture view for BEC and reporting to relevant stakeholders At BEC, we prefer to collaborate often in the office, but we also keep the opportunity to work remotely up to 8 days per month. Your direct manager will be the CISO and head of Information Security, Dennis Jensen .Primary tasks and responsibilities include:Engaging with stakeholders across BEC to provide guidance on implementation and interpretation of BEC’s internal security requirementsMaintaining and developing the governance of the ISMS framework, including maintenance and structured updates to BEC’s security expectationsContributing to structured reviews and maturity-oriented assessments that help leadership understand strengths, gaps, and priorities for improvementDeveloping and maintaining mappings between BEC’s information security requirements and recognized frameworks/standards to support consistency and reportingTo succeed you will have:A bachelor’s, master’s degree, or similar educational background, combined with 5+ years of experience in a similar role within Information Security or GRC.Experience working with recognized security frameworks.Knowledge of relevant security standards such as ISO 27001/27002, ITIL, NIST, PCI-DSS, and CIS, with the ability to translate “standard language” into practical organizational implementation.Strong curiosity and active listening skills.A friendly attitude and constructive communication style, with a people‑focused approach that supports a positive team environment.The ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in parallel.A desire to join a community of helpful, ambitious, and tech‑savvy colleagues who enjoy exploring and growing together.
