Job Title: Main QC InspectorLocation: Luleå – on site %100Type: Contract: Estimated - 6 months up to 24 monthsEU Citizens need only apply.My client is seeking an independent Main Inspector (Huvudbesiktningsman) to perform inspections in accordance with the Swedish General Conditions of Contract AB 04 / ABT 06.BackgroundThe project involves the design, construction, and commissioning of industrial facilities with multiple contractors operating under AB/ABT-based contracts.To comply with contractual requirements and safeguard the Client’s interests, an independent Main Inspector shall be appointed to plan, lead, and execute inspections according to the applicable regulations and contract provisions.Including Quality Assurance and Control, to the Project Management Consulting (PMC). The PMC will provide a team of construction quality inspectors per discipline to perform quality inspections on site.Objective of the AssignmentEnsure that all contractual inspections are performed in compliance with AB/ABT requirements.Confirm that works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.Provide independent, impartial assessments of the condition and completeness of the works.Document all inspection results and ensure proper follow-up until all deficiencies are rectified.General Responsibilities The Main Inspector shall:Be formally appointed by the Client:Plan, coordinate, and perform inspections in accordance with AB 04 / ABT 06 and theproject’s inspection schedule.Coordinate the works with the quality inspection team provided by PMC under the Client organization.Lead inspection activities together with the Client, contractors, and any Sub- Inspectors.Ensure all stakeholders are informed in due time of inspection plans and requirements.Maintain independence and impartiality at all times.Inspections IncludedThe scope includes, but is not limited to:Pre-inspectionsFinal inspectionsFollow-up inspectionsWarranty inspectionsRe-inspectionsAny partial or special inspections as required by the Client or contract.DeliverablesThe Main Inspector shall deliver:Overall inspection plan and detailed plans if needed, including resource plan.Formal inspection protocols in accordance with AB/ABT requirements.Deficiency lists and follow-up documentation until closure.Final summary report upon project completion.Documentation and CommunicationAll documentation shall be provided in both edit able and signed PDF formats.Communication shall be coordinated with the Client’s project organization.The Main Inspector shall report any observed non-conformities or safety issues immediately to the Client.Competence and Qualification Requirements Proposers shall demonstrate:Proven experience on Industrial or largescale construction projects in Sweden.Comprehensive knowledge of AB 04 / ABT 06 and Swedish construction law.Necessary professional certification.Technical background (civil, mechanical, electrical, or similar).Strong communication skills in Swedish and English.Ability to work independently and manage complex inspection processes.Reporting and InterfacesThe Main Inspector shall report directly to the Client’s Sr Construction Manager andcoordinate closely with:Construction and Commissioning TeamsQuality Assurance/Quality Control RepresentativesContractor Site ManagersRequirementsCompany Presentation – including legal entity, organization, and key personnel.Relevant Experience – similar assignments in industrial or infrastructure projects.including certification and AB/ABT experience.Methodology and Approach – description of how the inspections will be planned and executed.For more information: please reach me on: s.waters@ewi-group.comPlease send your CV/Resume.
