Interior Design QC Engineer - PODs/Modular Manufacturing

ID QC Engineer for POD is a Quality Control engineer specializing in the quality assurance and inspection of Interior Design (ID) elements within Prefabricated Offsite Delivered (POD) units, most commonly bathroom and kitchen PODs for modular construction projects. To ensure the highest quality standards of interior finishes and design elements in the manufacturing of PODs (Prefabricated Modular Units) by implementing effective quality control processes and ensuring compliance with approved design specifications and aesthetic requirements.Key Responsibilities:Conduct quality inspections for all interior finishes of PODs — including walls, flooring, ceiling, fixtures, joinery, and MEP fit-out elements.Verify that all materials, finishes, and fittings are as per the approved Interior Design drawings, material submittals, and specifications.Monitor production and installation processes to ensure proper workmanship, alignment, and finishing quality.Identify design and finish non-conformities, report findings, and follow up on corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).Inspect joinery, sanitary fittings, lighting fixtures, tiles, and paint finishes to ensure compliance with design and quality standards.Collaborate with Interior Design, Engineering, and Production teams to resolve quality-related design or finish issues.Review and approve mock-ups and samples prior to production.Maintain accurate records of inspection reports, material approvals, and quality documentation.Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance finish quality, reduce rework, and optimize production efficiency.Ensure all work adheres to company standards, safety regulations, and applicable codes.Qualifications and Requirements:Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or Civil Engineering.Minimum 6 years of experience in quality control of interior works, preferably in PODs, modular construction, or high-end fit-out/manufacturing industries.Strong knowledge of interior finishing materials, design standards, and detailing.Familiar with QA/QC systems, ISO standards, and inspection checklists.UAE or GCC experience preferred.
