Job Description

Responsibilities: 1. Create Progress Sheets & Track Design Development: Develop and maintain detailed progress tracking documents for each interior design project. Record all phases of work including completed designs, construction specifications, site execution updates, and vendor deliverables. 2. Ensure Architectural & Regulatory Compliance: Plan and implement interior design standards in alignment with architectural layouts and compliance requirements. Ensure all interior planning follows local, municipal, and state building codes, fire safety norms, and environmental regulations. Work closely with project architects to maintain consistency between architectural intent and interior execution.3. Budgeting, Costing & Resource Allocation: Develop and manage project-specific budgets for interior design, FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment), and finishes. Review and verify BOQs (Bills of Quantities), material specifications, and vendor quotations. Monitor cost efficiency and ensure procurement aligns with the approved budget and quality expectations.4. Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Coordination: Liaise with executive management, architects, project managers, and contractors to define interior objectives, priorities, and design intent. Act as a bridge between design and execution teams, ensuring alignment across disciplines.5. Drive Design Process Timelines & Quality: Lead the end-to-end interior design lifecycle timelines — from concept development to execution — ensuring timelines are met without compromising quality. Conduct regular design reviews and on-site quality checks to ensure fidelity to the design vision.6. Maintain Industry Awareness & Innovation: Stay up to date with global and local trends in luxury interior design, materials, lighting, automation, and space planning. Research and propose innovative solutions that enhance spatial quality, sustainability, and functionality. Attend design expos, vendor meets, and industry forums to source new products and maintain a competitive edge.Qualifications and skill-sets:Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Designing or equivalent. A Master’s degree in Project Management from NICMAR is preferred.Proven ability to track progress and install timeline adherence. Proven, robust work experience of 7-10 years with reputed firms, preferred 4 years in luxury projects.Strong analytical and stakeholder and project management ability.Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.Reliable, focused, confident, articulate and self-directed with a high level of initiative and a ‘can do’ attitude
