Hiring: Intermediate Project Manager - Public Sector (Healthcare)Location: Toronto, Hybrid (Up to 3 days onsite per week)Duration: January 5, 2026 – March 31, 2026Hourly Rate: Competitive (depending on skills and experience)Client: (Public Sector Healthcare Organization)Overview:We are seeking an experienced Intermediate Project Manager. The Project Manager will liaise with internal and external clients and teams to build positive relationships by being accountable for successful completion of deliverables, providing advice and subject matter expertise on the program standards activation, services, and support. The individual will look for opportunities to champion interoperability and the roll-out of standards and ensure alignment of program objectives through appropriate messaging through multiple communication channels.Key Responsibilities:Conduct requirements gathering, develop documentation, including presentations and briefing notes and conducts partner engagement. Work with different partners and subject matter experts from different backgrounds (clinical, business, and technical).Gain understanding of stakeholders to gather and document requirements.Contribute to the development of Program documentation (e.g. meeting materials, briefing notes, dashboards and reporting tools).Contribute to program engagement activities.Develop stakeholder engagement plans including identifying priority stakeholders, leading stakeholder consultations and developing and delivering associated communications. Develop and implement change management strategies and associated communications. Develop HIC engagement strategy, including advisory services and evaluation.Act as the champion on standards and interoperability aspects of a specific deliverable.Prepare senior and program management reports and presentations including options, recommendations, implementation plans related to engagement.Assist in the preparation of status reports.Identify problems/issues and escalate as appropriate.Update and maintain the team and/or project site.Qualifications & Experience:5+ years’ Experience with Project Management concepts (e.g., project goals, risk, scope, participant roles, planning, cost and quality management). 5+ years’ Experience collaborating with various groups to coordinate and lead working group meetings, gather updates and maintain progress reporting, action items, risk management updates, etc. 5+ years’ Experience working alongside project and program managers in a highly complex environment with internal and external stakeholders, vendors and partners; while providing updates, escalating where required, identifying risks, and leading project document deliverables. 5+ years Working knowledge of Ontario personal health information privacy legislation and regulation (i.e. Personal Health Information Protection Act, 2004). Experience working alongside project and program managers in a highly complex environment with internal and external stakeholders, vendors and partners; while providing updates, escalating where required, identifying risks, and leading project document deliverables.Experience collaborating with various groups to gather updates and maintain progress reporting, action items, risk management updates, etc.Experience working in a professional environment supporting multiple project managers and critical projects.Experience developing project status reports and maintaining and monitoring status reporting logs.Partner engagement and management.Public sector experience, ideally in Canadian healthcare in acute care, primary care and/or community care settings. Preferred Skills:Knowledge and experience with structured clinical documents.Knowledge of Healthcare Information Systems used throughout the province of Ontario. Ability to readily identify, assess and mitigate implementation and adoption issues. Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills; verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal and negotiation skills.
