Number of Openings: 1Locations: AbujaEmployment Type: InternshipDuration: 6 Months Purpose of the Internship The purpose of this internship program is to promote employability through providing an opportunity for work experience to recent graduates from and university students in career transition. It is also an avenue to help develop leadership competencies and promote the participation of women in decision-making roles in key development spaces. Description of TasksThe intern will initiate/assist and develop the following initiatives; and the planning of regular meetings, as well as facilitate knowledge exchange. The intern will be expected to:Provide Administrative support to the communications team.Assist in the brainstorming and implementation of tactics to support organizational communication strategies for internal and external audiences.Work with the communications coordinator to execute media plans, by writing, proofreading, distributing news releases, and media pitches, following up with reporters and media contacts.Preparing background information for interviews, maintaining media list and editorial calendars, and assisting with interview processesAssist in managing social media channels and the editorial calendar to ensure content is timely, engaging, and relevant. Conduct social media audits to ensure best practices are being used.Support graphic design for social media and other digital marketing initiatives.Work with the communications manager to conduct desk research, and map and identify health policy opportunities.Ensures compliance with laws and regulations.Perform any other duties assigned from time to time.Advantages / BenefitsAs an intern, you will take part in cutting-edge technology and other activities and projects that contribute to bringing solutions to health challenges and supporting the country's efforts in improving its health outcomes and addressing national health priorities.
