Number of Openings: 1Locations: KanoEmployment Type: InternshipDuration: 6 Months Purpose of the Internship The purpose of this internship program is to promote employability through providing an opportunity for work experience to recent graduates from and university students in career transition. It is also an avenue to help develop leadership competencies and promote the participation of women in decision-making roles in key development spaces. Description of TasksThe intern will initiate /assist/report/monitor and develop the following initiatives, and the planning of regular meetings as well as facilitate knowledge exchange. S/he will be able to reconcile theoretical experiences with practicable processes with keen specifics to the following: The intern will be expected to:Support all procurement processes and proper documentation.Ensure proper utilization and safety of the warehouse equipment dailyMonitor warehouse inbound and outbound activities.Retrieve work tools from staff and update track sheets.Ensure Inventory Items are marked using Identification tags for slow-moving ItemsBridge the turnaround time between the request time and the receiving time of requesters.Ensure compliance by the storekeeper with best practices.Update warehouse task documentation and records for submission to supervisorsContribute to building a productive and pleasant working environment using senior team members as role models.Assist in sorting and placing materials on racks, and shelves, properly to predetermined sequences such as size, type, or product code in the warehouse.Assist in counting inventory on a rotating basis to ensure accurate inventory records.Provide assistance in general warehouse administration.Accurately updating all data into a computer and manual recording system.Perform any other task assigned by the head of the department or line manager.Advantages / BenefitsAs an intern, you will take part in cutting-edge technology and other activities and projects that contribute to bringing solutions to health challenges and supporting the country's efforts in improving its health outcomes and addressing national health priorities.
