Fortitude Re’s Internal Audit intern will support the Internal Audit team to provide independent and objective assurance, advice, and insight guided by a philosophy of adding value to improve the operations of Fortitude Re. This position offers hands-on-experience with executing assurance and advisory services that support the Company in achieving its strategic, operational, financial, compliance and reporting objectives, as well as supporting the Board and its Committees in discharging their governance responsibilities. The internship will be based in our Bermuda office and will run from June 1, 2026 through August 7, 2026. You must be available for all 10 weeks of the program.What You Will Do: Assist in the execution of audits.Support the internal audit function in executing their responsibility to test the Company’s SOX and ICFR controls. Validate that the Company operates in a controlled environment with appropriate risk-management processes through audit fieldwork and analysis. Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of the Company’s internal controls using a risk-based methodology developed from professional auditing standards.  Contribute to the overall effectiveness and value of internal audit by recommending and developing innovative approaches and solutions (e.g. the use of data analytics, automation, and agile audit methodologies).  Support the on-going communication with management to follow-up on previously identified audit issues and test the resolution documentation to verify closure. Support the internal audit team to clearly and concisely communicate audit results or other key messages to a variety of constituents, including senior business and audit management, and advise on emerging industry or regulatory topics/issues that may impact audit coverage. What You Will Have: Currently a rising senior pursuing a degree in Accounting, Information Security, Cybersecurity, Computer Science or a related field. Strong interest in Internal Audit, compliance and the Reinsurance Industry.Knowledge of audit processes and risk management frameworks is preferred.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.Highly motivated and committed to learning and progressing. Experience with data analytics will be advantageous.What You’ll Gain:Exposure to real-world audits of different processes and functions within the Company.Opportunity to work with a variety of stakeholders within the Company.Professional development through mentorship and industry knowledge.The standard benefits listed below are offered to full-time employees.
