 Role purpose:To execute effective internal communication strategies and operations that foster a unified organizational culture, enhance employee engagement, and ensure the timely and consistent dissemination of key messages across DCT while continuously improving communication channels, content quality, and employee reach through innovative and inclusive approachesKey responsibilities: Internal Communication Planning:Support the creation and execution of a comprehensive internal communications strategy (including tactics, activities and materials) that aligns with DCT’s culture, values, and strategic priorities, fostering employee engagement and organizational alignmentDevelop and deliver targeted internal communication plans and initiatives that ensure consistent, timely, and transparent messaging across the organizationEstablish and manage a centralized internal communications calendar to coordinate key messages, events, and announcements, ensuring alignment with organizational milestonesDesign communication initiatives that resonate with DCT’s diverse workforce, ensuring inclusivity and relevance across all employee segmentsMonitor and assess the performance of internal communication channels and tools, using data-driven insights to enhance reach, engagement, and impactInternal Communication Operations:Draft, review, and edit high-quality content in both English and Arabic, ensuring linguistic (grammar, punctuation, and style) accuracy, consistency in tone, and alignment with DCT’s communication standardsConduct research and translate technical or complex topics into clear, accessible messages tailored to non-specialist audiencesIdentify and implement creative, modern approaches to internal communication, leveraging digital tools and multimedia to enhance message delivery and engagementCreate and manage internal communication content that supports organizational initiatives, change management efforts, and employee engagement programsDevelop and manage content for internal publications, including newsletters, articles, brochures, and other collateral, in collaboration with internal stakeholders and content creatorsPrepare communication materials for internal events, leadership messages, and employee engagement campaigns, ensuring alignment with strategic goalsExplore and implement new communication platforms and technologies to enhance internal outreach, including social media, intranet, and collaboration toolsCoordinate and publish regular DCT wide newsletters, interviews, and newsflashes (among other tools) in an innovative and compelling mannerFacilitate the adoption of new initiatives and programs by advising on effective communication strategies, organizing awareness events, and delivering targeted messaging to drive engagementShared Activity:Carry out any other duties and responsibilities related to the role at the request of the direct managerFollow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent mannerDemonstrate compliance to organization’s values and ethics to support the establishment of a value drive culture within the organizationContributes to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement and sustainability of systems, processes and practices considering global standards, productivity improvement and cost reduction.Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement and sustainability of systems, processes, and practices considering global standards, productivity improvement, and cost reductionAdhere to the DCT Occupational Safety and Health policy, regulations, and laws, and provide help to the Corporate EHS in executing the OSHMS.Report any incidents, near misses, occupational illnesses, unsafe practices, and conditions immediately to the person concerned and participate in the investigation of OSH incidents, as required.QualificationsBachelor’s degree (Master Preferred) in Communication, Journalism, Public Relations or any other degree within relevant industry.Professional certification in Communication, Journalism, Public Relations is preferred. Graphic design or video editing experience is a plus (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.)Experience : 3 to 5 years of experience in Internal Communication or any other experience within similar role or industrySkillsExceptional command of English and Arabic languages, with the ability to meticulously review and edit all content for grammar, punctuation, and linguistic accuracy, ensuring flawless quality and consistency across both languagesSkilled in MS Office (PowerPoint, Word and Excel). Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skillsStrong organizational and project management abilitiesCreative thinking and storytelling capabilitiesAttention to detail and a proactive attitudeAbility to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple prioritiesStrong writing and editorial skills, with the ability to simplify complex information.
