Job Description

1- Role Purpose:The role holder will be responsible for shape, influence, and respond to international policy and regulatory environments. This role connects sector needs and opportunity priorities with the evolving government agenda, thus helping OSP stay ahead of regulatory shifts and build constructive relationships with policymakers, following regulatory and diplomatic processes. It combines technical and analytical policy insight with strategic engagement, with internal and external coordination.2- Responsibilities:▪ Define OSP’s policy agenda and positioning across key themes to ensure an alignment withnational and/or international strategies and opportunity requirements.▪ Support the development of policy frameworks, both nationally and internationally, aligned withOSP’s mandate and evolving geopolitical, economic, and technological trends.▪ Engage directly with government bodies, regulatory authorities, think tanks, NGOs, research centres, and other institutions to represent OSP’s interests and shape the broader policy dialogue.▪ Build and manage strategic relationships with international organizations, foreign governments, and bilateral and multilateral institutions (e.g., UNEP, World Bank) to promote fair global policy dialogue – as appropriate.▪ Lead OSP contributions in international forums, summits, and working groups to elevate national visibility and shape the global narrative especially in engagements that require discussions with policymakers and/or decision makers.▪ Manage bilateral and multilateral cooperation agreements that bring technical assistance, knowledge sharing, or global best practices to Saudi-led initiatives.▪ Translate opportunity-specific or sectoral needs into structured policy proposals and recommendations.▪ Manage inter-ministerial working groups or task forces to ensure coherent policy development and execution.▪ Track policy developments and emerging regulatory trends that could affect implementation or scale-up.▪ Work with internal teams to ensure consistency in how policies are interpreted and reflected in OSP opportunities while ensuring efficient communication between internal teams and external stakeholders.▪ Prepare briefing notes, policy templates, due diligence reports and internal guidance materials to support informed decision-making and external positioning.▪ Contribute to any initiative within OSP that will promote effectiveness and efficiency of the program.3- Education:▪ Bachelor’s degree in law, Political Science, Public Policy and International Relations or a related field.▪ A master’s degree is preferred.4- Experience:▪ Minimum 4 - 6 years of relevant experience in international relations, negotiations, regulatory environments, multilateral engagements function. in international relations, negotiations, regulatory environments, multilateral engagements function.▪ Strong track record of working with public institutions and managing policy negotiations or consultations.
