Presented in detailed pixel art with both top-down and isometric views, it combines reverse bullet-hell and action-RPG elements in strategic 30-minute sessions.Job SummaryAs a Pixel Artist / Production Artist Intern, you’ll help define the visual identity of Nanokings. You’ll create intricate pixel art, immersive animations, and intuitive UI/UX designs that bring this unique world to life, collaborating closely with the art and design teams.ResponsibilitiesPixel Art: Design and animate characters, items, and environments.UI/UX Design: Create visually clear and player-friendly interfaces.Animation: Produce fluid, engaging pixel animations for characters, environments, and UI elements.Asset Management: Organize and upload spritesheets and source files to the shared asset library.Collaboration: Work with team members through Discord to stay aligned and meet milestones.RequirementsProven experience in 2D pixel art creation, including assets and animations.Knowledge of UI/UX design principles for 2D games.Proficiency in Aseprite.Familiarity with Unity workflows for pixel-based projects.Want to thrive in a dynamic, startup-style environment where independence is key.What You Can ExpectA well-documented GDD and clear milestone planning.Ongoing support from art and production leads.Access to existing assets and references.A collaborative, international team.Credit in Nanokings and the ability to showcase approved work in your portfolio.Real experience in a structured, remote production pipeline.Interview ProcessStep 1: Application Review We review your resume, portfolio, and experiences to see how they align with the role and our creative vision.Step 2: Skills Assessment Task You’ll complete a short trial task that allows you to showcase your skills in a real-world context. Instructions and resources will be provided, with five days allowed for completion. Step 3: Task Review and FeedbackOur team will evaluate your submission, assessing technical skills, creativity, and fit with our project’s style. Feedback or clarification requests may follow. Step 4: Interview and Task Presentation In addition to discussing your background, skills, and creative approach, you'll present the work you completed for the assessment task. We’ll use this to discuss your process and how your approach aligns with Nanokings project goals.
