About Zero Gravity OyZero Gravity Oy is a Finnish deep-tech company. Zero Gravity Oy is developing a next-generation optical imaging payload for CubeSats.Under an ESA Funding, we are building a miniaturized optical imaging payload for CubeSat platforms. We are seeking an Electronics Intern to join our R&D team and contribute to the design, simulation, and testing of electronics systems for this next-generation spaceborne payload.Position: Electronics Intern (ESA Payload Project)Role OverviewThe intern will work on the development of camera/sensor electronics, combining circuit design, power management. This role is ideal for a Master’s student in Electrical or Nanotechnology Engineering who wants hands-on experience designing ESA-grade hardware for space applications.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and simulate analog front-end circuits for imaging sensors (microbolometers, InGaAs, or similar).Develop and operate a calibration bench for optical performance testing.Develop PCB layouts for sensor power regulation, biasing, and signal conditioning.Model thermal behavior of electronics and optical components using simulation tools.Conduct bench-level testing: noise analysis, SNR, NEΔT stability, and temperature response.Support integration of electronics and thermal subsystems with the CubeSat busDocument test results, calibration data, and thermal performance reports.RequirementsMSc student in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or Nanotechnology Engineering.Knowledge of analog/digital circuit design, thermal sensors, or signal processing.Understanding of sensor control, temperature stabilizationHands-on experience in laboratory instrumentation (oscilloscopes, power analyzers, DAQs) is a plus.Preferable previous CubeSat experience but not a mustGood English communication and technical writing skills.What You’ll GainWork on real CubeSat payload hardware with measurable performance goalsOpportunity to convert internship into a Master’s Thesis project.Collaboration with Aalto Small Satellite Lab and ESA technical partners.How to ApplyPlease send your CV, motivation letter, and university transcript to:📧 olga.bodet@zerogravity.fiSubject line: “Electronics Internship ”
