Our commitment to continuous improvement is driven by Lean principles, ensuring that every team member can develop their skills and advance their careers.Join us to be part of an innovative environment where your growth is our priority, and experience the numerous advantages of being a valued member of our team.PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:Assists in the execution of M&A and large-scale public tender projectsPerforms financial modelling for investment cases and support in preparing material for external negotiationsPrepares materials for and helps drive the internal governance and approval process for investment and divestment projectsContributes to, and where appropriate, drives the development of solutions to customer specific projects and/or tender requirementsContributes to the development of in-house training courses on valuation, investment analysis and financial modellingAssists in managing a project pipelineReviews investment casesWORK/BUSINESS CONTACTS AND AUTHORITY: Internal (90%):Cooperate with multitude functions across Maersk and APMT: Business Development Leads, Portfolio Heads, Commercial Projects team, Regional CFOs, terminal local finance teams, senior levels of APM Terminals’ management, relevant Maersk Line and Logistics & Services functions.External (10%):Relevant authorities and external counterparts, External advisors, Investment banks, Auditors, Lawyers, Associations, Consultants and Customers.We are looking for: Someone who brings a strong mindset of continuous improvement – someone who is naturally curious, committed to solving problems at the root, and driven to make things better every day.Qualification and backgroundBachelor’s or master’s degree in finance and business administration (or MBA)Consistent experience within the job scope, increasing responsibility in valuation modelling, strategy, M&A and/or Corporate/Business Development.Experience with the port and shipping market would be a plus but is not a pre-requisite.Skills And ExperienceStrong (corporate) finance skills including experience and knowledge of valuation, synergy quantification, risk and upside evaluationRelevant experience with developing and reviewing financial models in MS Excel, preferably consistent with approaches such as FAST, SMART or BPMProject Management skills; well-organized, timely, and persistentGood understanding and hands-on experience with M&A process and preparing for due diligence.Strong analytical mind and ability to solve problems and overcome business and legal constraintsDrive, intellectual curiosity and interest in taking on new tasksAbility and drive to develop in-house training courses on valuation, investment analysis and financial modellingStrong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written).Empathy, personal tact, and multi-cultural understandingAbility to handle sensitive information to maintain strict confidentialityEnglish fluency written and spoken, other languages and international work experience are beneficial (preferably with focus on emerging markets)LEARNING & CAREER OPPORTUNITIESOpportunity to acquire skills / knowledge in the following areas:Business and competitive analysisThe process of M&A end-to-endFinancial valuation and modellingProject managementStakeholder/ Shareholder communicationInvestment management processesRelevant next career steps might be:Increased scope of responsibility within same teamProject Manager in the corporate development teamFinance Business Partner in a regional office or in HQCFO of a smaller terminalFinance team leader in HQReady to make an impact?
