Investment Advisor

Position Overview:We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Investment Advisor to join our External Asset Management (EAM) team in the UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing tailored investment solutions, portfolio management, and advisory services to High-Net-Worth (HNW) and Ultra-High-Net-Worth (UHNW) clients. The role requires strong financial market expertise, relationship management skills, and a proven track record in managing discretionary and advisory portfolios across multiple asset classes.The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of global financial markets, structured products, and portfolio construction, combined with an understanding of the regulatory and operational frameworks of EAMs in the UAE.Key Responsibilities:Client Relationship Management:Build and maintain long-term relationships with HNW and UHNW clients under the EAM platform.Serve as the primary investment advisor, understanding client objectives, risk profiles, and financial goals.Deliver personalized investment advice aligned with clients’ overall wealth and estate planning strategies.Coordinate closely with Relationship Managers and internal stakeholders to ensure consistent client servicing.Investment Advisory & Portfolio Management:Construct and manage diversified investment portfolios across asset classes including equities, fixed income, structured products, funds, private equity, and alternatives.Conduct in-depth analysis of global markets, macroeconomic trends, and asset performance to develop actionable investment recommendations.Provide ongoing portfolio reviews, rebalancing, and performance reporting in line with client objectives.Advise on asset allocation strategies, risk management techniques, and tactical positioning.Monitor market developments and communicate relevant updates, investment themes, and tactical opportunities to clients.Product Knowledge & Execution:Source and recommend investment products from approved providers, ensuring suitability and compliance with regulatory guidelines.Liaise with product specialists, fund managers, and third-party providers for product due diligence and competitive analysis.Support execution of investment transactions in coordination with the dealing desk, operations, and compliance teams.Compliance & Risk Management:Ensure all investment recommendations and client communications comply with internal policies, SCA/DFSA regulations, and best industry practices.Maintain up-to-date client documentation, KYC, suitability, and risk assessment records.Uphold ethical standards and promote transparency, client trust, and confidentiality.Business Development & Contribution:Support business growth by identifying new client opportunities within the EAM platform.Contribute to investment committee discussions and assist in developing house views, model portfolios, and product strategies.Mentor junior staff and contribute to team development initiatives.Qualifications & Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related discipline (Master’s or MBA preferred).Professional certifications such as CFA, CISI, CAIA, or equivalent are highly desirable.Minimum 8–10 years of relevant experience in Investment Advisory, Wealth Management, or Private Banking, preferably within an External Asset Management (EAM) or Private Banking environment in the UAE or GCC region.Proven track record in managing HNW/UHNW client portfolios with strong investment performance.In-depth knowledge of financial markets, asset allocation, structured products, and risk management frameworks.Familiarity with UAE regulatory standards (DFSA/SCA) and investment advisory compliance procedures.Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to articulate market insights clearly.Proficiency in financial platforms such as Bloomberg, Refinitiv, or Morningstar Direct.Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
